Embracing YOUR Choices

In his book, A New Earth, Eckhart Tolle says, “Life will give you whatever experience is most helpful for the evolution of your consciousness. How do you know this is the experience you need? Because this is the experience you are having at this moment.

In other words, what’s happening to you in this exact moment is happening because it is happening. You’ve evolved to this exact point in time. This experience is a culmination of your thinking, of your feeling, and it is now manifesting before your very eyes.
So, how are you to approach such a moment?
Embrace it.
Embrace it because this the experience you need to grow, to create, to express yourself fully, and to become whole.
How you approach this moment depends on only you. You have the power to make it work for you…or against you. It’s your choice.  It’s always been your choice.
Fighting the experience won’t make it go away. Resistance is like a virus — it comes back stronger than ever, until you inoculate it by embracing and facing the experience — by opening up to it and asking it what it has to teach you so that you can start making new (and more informed) choices.
A “new earth” starts with a “new mind.”
What kind of world are you creating for yourself?  What kind of world would you like to create?

At the moment, I’m creating a world where the dog is growling at our new neighbors & doing several annoying things! If this wasn’t my current experience, I wouldn’t be quite as aware of today’s need for peace & self-care. So now I choose to go offline for a bit & enjoy the day. Thanks, Penny!

So so so true! I learned early on through the work of Wayne Dyer “As you think, so shall you be” and it’s truer than true. If only we all recognized our own power to shift what we experience, the world might be a very different place. Great post, Penny!

WD’s words are spot on! We are what we think. I think some people brush these words off because they sound so cliche…they judge the words instead of seeing the true power behind them. Thanks, Lisa, for your thoughts. Here’s to helping others recognize their own power to shift what they experience! You are a Light! Shine on, girl!

Amen! So true. In many ways this message keeps coming around.

It is always our choice. It is always what we attracted either deliberately or by default. It is always something we can look at, learn from and get more of or shift.

I LOVE Eckhart Tolle! He and so many other teachers have helped me along my way.

I am always looking at what is coming into and leaving my life to see where I am and where I still may have to go.

    Thank you Penny!

    YOU ROCK!!!

Kathy, Eckhart Tolle is one of my favorites, too. His readings/teachings are so accessible. He breaks it down systematically to help others understand. I also love James Allen’s book *As A Man Thinketh,* which I am sure you are familiar with. Such great stuff! If only people would recognize their own power to make shifts in their own energy and thinking. Thanks for being one of those Lights in the world, Kathy! You ROCK, too!

These teachings are so universal. Like Kathy Hadley mentioned, we attract things into our lives either on purpose or by default, the latter being what I call the booby trap because so many people aren’t aware of their default tendencies and how they are so often running the show. Thanks for a great post, Penny!

Indeed, Deb. These teachings are universal, and anyone can learn them. Awareness is the first step in shifting things in our lives. I am so grateful for all the Lightworkers out there helping others to realize this. Thanks for being one of those Lights!
