In our daily grind, we sometimes forget that we are divine creations.
You are the creator of your own reality. No one else is.
You are free to make your own choices. Allowing someone else to attempt to create your reality is slavery. What satisfaction is there in being enslaved? It is your birthright to create.
By intentionally guiding your own life, you live your life on YOUR terms.
So, how do you get there from where you are now?
Align (or realign) yourself with Source/God/Infinite Intelligence/Creator. This is a conscious decision on your part. When you open up your heart to Source and the Universal Laws, you agree to allow the life force to move in and through you freely to help you create your reality.
Understand that your current state of reality is a result of your thinking, not someone else’s. You created this reality because of the kinds of thoughts you have generated. Thoughts are energy, and they have either a positive charge or a negative charge. What you have in your life is the result of holding yourself in a vibrational pattern that matched the vibration of your desire. In other words, you are what you think. You attract what you think about the most. Your dominant thoughts get “picked up” by the universe (law of attraction); the universe then works in the mysterious ways that it does to manifest things into your life. Imagine yourself as a radio transmitter, sending out signals. That’s when the universe tunes in.
The universe will always respond to you. So, you must be aware of your thought process (are your thoughts negative or positive?). You must also be aware of your feeling process. The two must match to bring about desired results. If they do not, then there is an imbalance that must be addressed. For example, if you desire a loving relationship, yet you harbor a fear of rejection, you’ve negated that love because of your fear. Love and fear cannot coexist in the same space. Something needs to change. In order to move forward, you would need to release those resistant thoughts (fears). Feeling any kind of discord when you think about your desires only pushes those desires further away.
Consciously return to the knowledge that you are free. You’ve always been free and always will be. Examine any resistance within yourself. Release what is holding you back…release it in forgiveness and in love. You may need to make some changes in your life. Examine what is holding you back from realizing your authentic self. Many times this requires a shift in your thinking from one of fear to one of love, from one of negativity to one that is positive. As you become aware of your thoughts and feelings, and as you realize your creative potential, you will be empowered to move forward in freedom.
When you team up with the Universe, you will not be denied. Greatness awaits.
Today is the day to do the “it” you have always talked about but have never taken the steps to do. How many times have you said things like, “I’ll do it when I have more time” or “I’ll take that trip after I get out of debt” or “I’ll join the gym after I lose some weight,” only to find yourself never having done any of it? Instead your find yourself with less time, less money, and more weight gain than ever before, pushing your goals and dreams further and further away. Today is the day to stop procrastinating and to start doing. Today is the day to change your thinking so you can change your life.
If you always think about attracting and living a better life, but remain inactive in doing anything about it, you’re not going to get anywhere at all. It’s time to get off of the couch of inertia. It’s time to make changes. Many people don’t get started because they don’t always know where to start. It starts by affirming to yourself, “I am starting today. I am starting NOW. Today is the day.” Let this become a mantra as you begin. Your self-talk is an important step because as you affirm positive phrases to yourself, your brain actually begins to create neural pathways for your new thoughts and affirmations to travel. Old habits begin to die away as new ones are formed. Research shows that it takes about 21 days for a new habit to ingrain itself into our psyche and into our lives. Just as a musician must rehearse or an athlete must train, daily repetition of positive thinking and affirmations becomes second nature and sets the universal law of attraction into motion, especially when you put positive emotion behind your words and action.
The next thing to do is to make a list of the things you are going to accomplish. You can write them down in bullet form, or if you are the creative sort, you can create a vision board with photos, drawings, sketches, and word art. Keep your list or vision board in a place where you will see it every single day to remind you of your goals and dreams. You can create a smaller list to carry in your purse or wallet. The trick is to keep it readily available as a constant reminder. Read through your list every morning when you awake, every evening before bed, and during any part of the day when you are between tasks. Daily visualization of your goals and dreams as you affirm positively with your self-talk helps to build momentum in your life. Your thoughts are pure energy; this energy flows where your attention goes. Make your goals and dreams your dominant thoughts throughout the day. See that goal or dream in your mind’s eye as already existing in your life.
The third thing to do is to express your gratitude. Any wisdom tradition or spiritual teacher will tell you that giving gratitude for all that you have will increase more of those things in your life. This allows you to align with Source as partners in a dynamic relationship of creation. As you envision your goals and dreams, give thanks to Source for manifesting them into your life.
It sounds too simple to be true, but by incorporating positive affirmations, visualization, and gratitude into your daily life, your life will begin to change, and you will be on your way to a better, happier you. Now is the time. Do “it” today.
