Finding Your Focus

In our daily grind, we sometimes forget that we are divine creations.

We forget our place.
We forget who we are.
We forget our purpose.
We forget to take time out, even if only for five minutes, to reconnect ourselves to our spiritual batteries.
Distractions can get the best of us, and before we know it, we get bogged down and find ourselves under stress as we are pulled into too many directions.
We lose our focus.
What can be done?
1.  Refresh yourself. Take a break. Get away from the energy of the situation and regroup your own scattered energy. Take a walk. Take a few deep breaths. Remove yourself to a quiet place for meditation or reflection. Your energy and vigor will return.
2.  Remain calm. Working yourself into a frenzy by worrying about things is an accelerant to more intensified worrying. Worrying leads to doubt; doubt leads to fear. Fear leads to shutdown. This is counteractive, counterproductive and counterintuitive to creativity. Instead, keep a positive attitude. The more negativity you generate, the more you’ll attract. Likewise, the more positivity you generate, the more you’ll attract.
3.  Regain control. When you are out of focus, it could be because you are taking on too many tasks at once. Concentrate on one task at a time. Write them down and cross them off your list as you complete them. Bigger tasks can be broken down into smaller tasks.
4.  Review your priorities. Look at the big picture. Become aware of your workload and what should be done first. Some perspective of your “workscape” can save a lot of wasted time and effort.
5.  Reprioritize your priorities. Do the most important things first on your list. Then follow through from there. Stick to what’s on your list; otherwise, you will spend too much time flitting from one distraction to another.
6.  Remagnetize yourself.  Reconnect with your Inner Self, Inner Guidance System, God/Source, etc. Our spiritual batteries are always charged and ready for our use, but when we allow ourselves to be distracted, we become disconnected. We demagnetize ourselves, leaving ourselves open and vulnerable to negativity in various forms.  Imagine yourself as a powerful magnet, attracting everything you need to move forward.
7.  Remind yourself of your purpose. You have been blessed with certain abilities; you are here to share your gifts and talents with others. As my friend and Law of Attraction coach Hemal says, “You have the whole universe inside of you,” working for you, not against you.
Remember: you are in control. Life may throw things at us from different directions in an attempt to distract us from ourselves and our mission, but we can control how we react by taking a proactive approach, one that allows us to step into our power, rather than out of it.
How do you regain your focus? Do you have any tips to offer?

Increasing Your Energetic Wealth

Energy is like money.
Like money, energy can be squandered or invested.
When you have an abundance of energy, it’s wise to invest it into things that will improve your life. Make your energy work for you, not against you.
What does this mean?
It means doing those things that make you feel good about yourself. Things that you enjoy doing. Things that raise your spirits, feed your soul, and increase your vibration. Things that propel you to grow, to create, and to express your authentic self.
But squandering your energy puts you at risk.
Energy that is not channeled constructively or positively leads to boredom, apathy, complacency, dependence, even bondage. You find yourself doing things that you don’t like doing or don’t want to be doing. You find yourself obligated to others rather than to yourself. Things begin piling up on you, adding stress, which then manifest physically in the form of various ailments or illnesses. You don’t feel good about yourself or your place in life. Now you are left with no energy whatsoever; you’ve depleted yourself and your reserves. This is a major energy deficit.
What’s the point of living?
But you can change this.
Investing energy into yourself, rather than squandering it aimlessly on things that no longer serve you (or have never served you), allows for a shift in vibration that moves you to start doing the things you enjoy. It begins by taking back your control and making choices that empower you. One small shift gets the ball rolling.
Energy is designed to move, not stagnate.
It is designed to flow freely, without blockage.
Start small. Choose an area of your life or something about yourself that you’d like to improve. Ask yourself what kind of investment you are willing to make to improve that area of your life. Commit to it by signing a contract with yourself or by creating a vision board.  Remind yourself about your goal on a daily basis. Give it the energy it deserves to grow and manifest. Before you know it, a wealth of energy and assistance will make itself known to you in ways you’ve never imagined. Such is the Spirit of Attraction and Abundance.
You are worth the investment.
How are you investing in yourself these days? Or, how will you? I invite you to share your energy investing techniques with us.

Jesus and The Law of Attraction

In the sacred text of the bible, the Gospel of Matthew 7:7-8 states: “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.” In Mark 11:24, Jesus states: “Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”
In these verses, we see the roots of the Law of Attraction. And Jesus knew how the principles worked, even if he didn’t have the scientific knowledge we have today.
One must remember that Christianity did not exist in Jesus’s time, and it certainly didn’t exist in the form as we know it today. Instead he laid out a set of principles regarding the manifestation of one’s reality and desires. He had access to special knowledge that he claimed we could have as well, if we opened ourselves to it. The Law of Attraction was around long before Jesus or any other avatars or master teachers knew of its power. Jesus knew the Law of Attraction as God. And he knew it as a loving God, not the wrathful God of the Old Testament.
What can we glean from these powerful verses about the Law of Attraction?
1.  Have a clear vision of what you desire to manifest. When you pray, meditate, visualize, or concentrate, you are deliberately releasing energy into the Universe toward God, your Higher Power, the Infinite Intelligence, Source, etc. The emotion, or conviction, in your words/images sends out a vibration, or a frequency, like a radio signal that gets picked up. If in harmony with the Universe, those desires manifest.  Believing equals receiving. Whatever you desire, know (believe) that you have it. The Universe always provides.
2.  Have faith, not doubt. Faith, being the essence of things not seen, is a force of positive energy that releases whenever we pray, meditate, or visualize. Doubt is rooted in fear and will negate any of your efforts to manifest your desires. Having faith in God’s power/Universe/Source will bring about particular results as Jesus emphasized. Jesus never told people that his faith had healed or restored them, but rather that their own faith had made them whole. The power of their own minds was key. You become a magnet of energy once you establish an inner conviction that the law works.
3.  Take control. Jesus speaks in the imperative in these verses. He says, “Ask,” “Seek,” “Knock,” “Believe.”  In other words, you ask, you seek, you knock, you believe. You are in control of co-creating your reality with your Higher Source. These are not passive words; they are words of action. Jesus is telling us that when we act, God/Universe acts in accordance with our desires when we are aligned in harmony for the highest good.
Jesus served as a spiritual beacon. He lived in tune with his purpose for which he had been incarnated. He may not have known the Law of Attraction as the Law of Attraction, but he knew how it worked and he knew it as the power of God. Having faith and believing are acts of love and positive energy. He knew that having a clear vision coupled with faith and magnetized by prayer, thought, meditation, and/or visualization attracted results, and he came to teach us that we, too, have access to the same power that he did.

Greatness Awaits

You are the creator of your own reality. No one else is.

You are free to make your own choices. Allowing someone else to attempt to create your reality is slavery. What satisfaction is there in being enslaved? It is your birthright to create.

By intentionally guiding your own life, you live your life on YOUR terms.

So, how do you get there from where you are now?

Align (or realign) yourself with Source/God/Infinite Intelligence/Creator. This is a conscious decision on your part. When you open up your heart to Source and the Universal Laws, you agree to allow the life force to move in and through you freely to help you create your reality.

Understand that your current state of reality is a result of your thinking, not someone else’s. You created this reality because of the kinds of thoughts you have generated. Thoughts are energy, and they have either a positive charge or a negative charge. What you have in your life is the result of holding yourself in a vibrational pattern that matched the vibration of your desire. In other words, you are what you think. You attract what you think about the most. Your dominant thoughts get “picked up” by the universe (law of attraction); the universe then works in the mysterious ways that it does to manifest things into your life.  Imagine yourself as a radio transmitter, sending out signals. That’s when the universe tunes in.

The universe will always respond to you.  So, you must be aware of your thought process (are your thoughts negative or positive?).  You must also be aware of your feeling process.  The two must match to bring about desired results.  If they do not, then there is an imbalance that must be addressed.  For example, if you desire a loving relationship, yet you harbor a fear of rejection, you’ve negated that love because of your fear.  Love and fear cannot coexist in the same space.  Something needs to change.  In order to move forward, you would need to release those resistant thoughts (fears).  Feeling any kind of discord when you think about your desires only pushes those desires further away.

Consciously return to the knowledge that you are free. You’ve always been free and always will be. Examine any resistance within yourself. Release what is holding you back…release it in forgiveness and in love. You may need to make some changes in your life. Examine what is holding you back from realizing your authentic self. Many times this requires a shift in your thinking from one of fear to one of love, from one of negativity to one that is positive.  As you become aware of your thoughts and feelings, and as you realize your creative potential, you will be empowered to move forward in freedom.

When you team up with the Universe, you will not be denied. Greatness awaits.

Cafe Universe – Now Open!

Welcome to Cafe Universe!  This is the place where you can order anything you want for your life.  And it’s free!  With Spirit as our partner and co-creator, there is nothing we can’t manifest in our lives.  All you have to do is state exactly what you want.  If happiness is what you are craving, then satisfy that spiritual appetite by stating what you want in the present tense; that is, state it as if you already have it in your life.  For example, you can say, “I am feeling happy,” or “I am happy,” or “I exist in a state of happiness.”  It doesn’t matter how you word it as long as it is positively worded in the present tense. Repeat as necessary. If it sounds simple that’s because it is.
Most people want to improve their lives in terms of relationships/love, health, happiness, and/or money but they have no idea how to go about bringing these things into existence.  They pour time and energy into thinking about it, but they stop short of taking any type of action toward making these things happen.  Many times it is fear that stops people.  But by taking the first step to vocalize or think about what you want as if you already have it in your life actually alchemizes the process.  That’s because the Universe operates by special laws, one of them being the Law of Attraction, which basically states that positive thoughts and feelings are magnets for positive life experiences.  It works in reverse, too — negative thoughts and feelings attract more of the same, so this is where one must attune one’s thinking to the positive instead of the negative.  Basically, if you have a specific desire, focus joyfully — not negatively — on that desire and it will be fulfilled.
Ask yourself what you are feeling at this very moment.  This is important because what you feel is a determining factor in manifesting (or not) what you want in your life.  If what you want is to be happy, but in your core you are feeling fear, the two don’t match.  They are two different emotional frequencies.  One cancels the other out.  In this case, you need to raise your vibration from one of fear to one of happiness by participating in things that actually make you happy.  Studies show that when one is actively engaged in activities that make one happy, seratonin and/or endorphins (the “happy hormone”) release into the bloodstream thus elevating a person’s overall mood.  When you feel good, you’ll want to keep doing those things that make you feel good.  Of course, giving gratitude for what you have, rather than focusing on what you don’t have, is a great tool to use to help lift you higher on the emotional scale. Tools such as daily journaling, creating vision boards, and employing visualization techniques are some of the many ways to help you align yourself with your bliss.  Find what works for you to keep you elevated vibrationally.
As you begin to change for the better, people will take notice.  They will wonder what your “secret” is.  Of course, you can share this information with them so that they can improve their lives.  And if they say, “Thanks, but no thanks,” then allow them to move on to continue attracting what they will attract while you go on creating the life you want.  Send love and light to them with the hope that they find happiness at some point in their lives.
Why not help yourself to generous portions of peace, love, joy, and happiness?  The Universe wants to serve you your dreams.  Grab a seat at the counter and place your order.

Doing "It"

Today is the day to do the “it” you have always talked about but have never taken the steps to do.  How many times have you said things like, “I’ll do it when I have more time” or “I’ll take that trip after I get out of debt” or “I’ll join the gym after I lose some weight,” only to find yourself never having done any of it?  Instead your find yourself with less time, less money, and more weight gain than ever before, pushing your goals and dreams further and further away.  Today is the day to stop procrastinating and to start doing.  Today is the day to change your thinking so you can change your life.

If you always think about attracting and living a better life, but remain inactive in doing anything about it, you’re not going to get anywhere at all.  It’s time to get off of the couch of inertia.  It’s time to make changes.  Many people don’t get started because they don’t always know where to start.  It starts by affirming to yourself, “I am starting today.  I am starting NOW.  Today is the day.”  Let this become a mantra as you begin.  Your self-talk is an important step because as you affirm positive phrases to yourself, your brain actually begins to create neural pathways for your new thoughts and affirmations to travel.  Old habits begin to die away as new ones are formed.  Research shows that it takes about 21 days for a new habit to ingrain itself into our psyche and into our lives.  Just as a musician must rehearse or an athlete must train, daily repetition of positive thinking and affirmations becomes second nature and sets the universal law of attraction into motion, especially when you put positive emotion behind your words and action.

The next thing to do is to make a list of the things you are going to accomplish.  You can write them down in bullet form, or if you are the creative sort, you can create a vision board with photos, drawings, sketches, and word art.  Keep your list or vision board in a place where you will see it every single day to remind you of your goals and dreams.  You can create a smaller list to carry in your purse or wallet.  The trick is to keep it readily available as a constant reminder.  Read through your list every morning when you awake, every evening before bed, and during any part of the day when you are between tasks.  Daily visualization of your goals and dreams as you affirm positively with your self-talk helps to build momentum in your life.  Your thoughts are pure energy; this energy flows where your attention goes.  Make your goals and dreams your dominant thoughts throughout the day.  See that goal or dream in your mind’s eye as already existing in your life.

The third thing to do is to express your gratitude.  Any wisdom tradition or spiritual teacher will tell you that giving gratitude for all that you have will increase more of those things in your life. This allows you to align with Source as partners in a dynamic relationship of creation.  As you envision your goals and dreams, give thanks to Source for manifesting them into your life.

It sounds too simple to be true, but by incorporating positive affirmations, visualization, and gratitude into your daily life, your life will begin to change, and you will be on your way to a better, happier you.  Now is the time.  Do “it” today.
